Your memories are deteriorating! VHS tapes will begin to degrade after only 7 years. The magnetic coating which actually stores the video image will begin to loosen from the binding, and you will begin to see flashes on your screen (dropouts) after only 7 years, or sooner if you play the tape a lot. If you had family movie film transfered to VHS, these are also degrading. DVDs can last up to 100 years when stored properly. And since they're 100% digital, even if they get replaced by a new format (remember that VHS was the standard just a few years ago), there won't be any loss in converting to the new format. Your memories will be preserved forever. The process is simple... bring in or send us your videos. We'll professionally transfer them to DVD with chapter stops every 5 minutes to make it easy to find any particular spot on the DVD. We can put multiple tapes onto one DVD if you prefer, or each tape can be on its own DVD. Your original tapes are returned to you unharmed. The cost is only $29.95 per DVD, up to 2 hours, plus $5 per reel change if we put more than 1 tape onto a DVD. Your DVD's will come to you in a library case for storage. Have special requirements for your transfers? We'll do our best to accomodate your needs. Just give us a call. Click here to order .
